School Events
School events bring learning to life and help shape our school culture. They help students build confidence, connect with others and celebrate their progress. Events also give families a chance to be involved in school life and share in their child’s achievements.
Our school event may include:
- school orientation days
- sports carnivals
- open day and school tours
- Harmony Week and Book Week events
- excursions and incursions
- performances, concerts or school productions
- fundraising, charity and community events
- award assemblies
- graduation and other celebrations.

Book Week
Book Week is a special time at our school where we celebrate a love of reading. Students take part in fun activities throughout the week.
Students dress-up for the parade and our older students visit the local pre-school to read stories in their dress-ups!
Book Week 2026 in Australia will run from Saturday, August 22 to Friday, August 28, 2026, with the theme "Symphony of Stories."
Open Days
School open days, during Public Education Week is an opportunity for students, parents and carers to get to know our school.
On this day we also encourage our students to dress up as what they want to be when they grow up!
Public Education Week 2026 will be celebrated in Term 3, Week 3 from 3 to 7 August 2026.
NAIDOC Week
NAIDOC Week is a national celebration in Australia held annually during the first week of July (Sunday to Sunday) to celebrate the histories, cultures, and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. This year we:
- Engaged in cultural dance
- learned our local Dhawaral language
- learned to weave with support from our community
- connected our understanding of NAIDOC to make art
National NAIDOC Week 2025 was held from Sunday, July 5 to Sunday, July 12, 2026. The official theme for 2025 "The Next Generation: Strength, Vision & Legacy."
